Quinta Nova belongs to the Amorim Group, the biggest cork producer in the world, and owner of 2 boutique wineries, Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo in Douro, and Quinta da Taboadella in Dão.
Quinta Nova project is with the Amorim family since 1999, has been growing double digits every year since then, and in 2019 has grown 15% vs 2018 in turnover. We have also an award winning hotel, the first hotel in the Douro region inside a vineyard started in 2005, last year we have welcomed over 16.000 tourists at the estate.
Our New Project is Quinta da Taboadella, in Dão region , a very cold area producing very elegant wines.
Our head winemaker, Jorge Alves was considered by the most important wine magazine in Portugal – Vinhos Grandes Escolhas – the winemaker of the year 2018.
